Proximity sharing

Share data

Data is shared when a request is accepted on two or more devices that are physically close to each other. Data is transferred using short-range methods like NFC or Bluetooth, rather than using the Internet.

Advantages

  • Data is shared directly between devices

  • Sharing requests can be verified in person

Limitations

  • Devices need NFC or Bluetooth

  • Different proximity sharing services may not work with each other
